Barrett Bookstore, after more than 20 years in Noroton Heights, has relocated. “With a truly heroic effort by our team, we opened our doors at 6 Corbin Drive in Darien in a week!” the store said in its newsletter.

The Board of Education on Tuesday hired Alan Addley as the next Darien superintendent of schools.

Addley, a native of Northern Ireland has been superintendent of Granby Public Schools in Granby, Connecticut for 11 years and has held leadership positions in superintendent associations at the state and national level, an has received awards from other education associations honoring him as a superintendent.
