Luke Walter Kostrzewski, formerly of Darien, passed away unexpectedly on July 19 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was 25.
Luke was born on Nov. 26, 1996 in Stamford and was a graduate of Darien High School, Class of 2015. He went on to graduate from the College of Charleston in 2021 and was looking forward to continuing his education. Luke was outgoing and energetic, enjoying skiing, golf, ice hockey, music, boating and the beach.
He was loved and will be missed by his extended family, including his father, Walter Kostrzewski, and Walter’s wife, Kristen de Stronie of Ridgefield; his mother, Judi Jalbert, and her fiancé, Thomas Nolan of East Haddam; his brothers: Alex Kostrzewski of Boston and Aiden Kostrzewski of Ridgefield; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Elaine Kostrzewski of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his aunts and uncles: Paul and Ellie Kostrzewski of Newark, Delaware, Michael and Liz Jalbert, Brian Jalbert, all of Rhode Island; Sue Jalbert and her partner, Kerry Klayman; R.J. Risteen, all of California; and numerous cousins and close friends.
A visitation to greet the family will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall St., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton. Burial in the family plot will be private at a later date.
