The Darien Human Services Department will begin accepting applications for the 2020-2021 Connecticut Energy Assistance Program on Monday, Sept. 14 for households who heat with oil and on Tuesday, Oc 13 for households who heat with electricity, gas, or propane.
Darien Library invites the community to meet their new director, Kiera Parrott, on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Attendees will enjoy shaved ice, learn about the latest services and virtual programming for kids, teens, and adults. The librarians will also reveal the names of the hottest books to read this fall.

Until the COVID-19 pandemic has ended, Darien’s school system will face unprecedented challenges. Teachers, administrators and Board of Education members will not only need to immerse themselves in cutting-edge education techniques, but they will need to develop expertise in public health.
