‘C’ Rating for One Darien Restaurant in Latest Health Department Inspection Reports

Here are the latest inspection reports for Darien restaurants and other food-serving establishments just released by Darien Health Department. Reports were released for four  inspections; they took place on Sept. 7 and 10. Aside from the one with a “C” rating, three inspections resulted in “A” ratings. Keep in mind that a food-serving establishment with a history of good ratings may occasionally get a poor inspection rating, occasionally the best do, and every restaurant normally gets a few things wrong.

One Darien Restaurant Gets a ‘C’ — the Worst Rating — in Latest Health Inspection Reports

One restaurant in town received a “C” rating from health inspectors in the most recent health inspection reports released by Darien Health Department. Twelve  inspections took place from Aug. 16 to 20. Five were rated “A” and five were rated “B.” One, at Gofer Ice Cream, didn’t receive a rating because the establishment, like snack bars, isn’t the same type of place as a restaurant.

Three food-serving places in town received a “C” from health inspectors — the worst rating in the town’s A-B-C ratings system — in the most recent health inspection reports released by Darien Health Department. The department released 12 reports from inspections that took place from Aug. 5 to 15. Latest Health Inspection Reports for Darien Restaurants and Food-Serving Places

Here are the most recently released inspection reports from the town Health Department for Darien restaurants and other food-serving establishments. Of the 13 inspection reports were released Thursday from inspectors’ visits tht took place from July 26 to Aug. 8, six  resulted in “B” ratings and seven were rated “A.” Keep in mind that a food-serving establishment with a history of good ratings may occasionally get a poor inspection rating, occasionally the best do, and every restaurant normally gets a few things wrong. One Darien food-serving establishment received a “C” rating, the worst in the town’s A-B-C ratings system, in the most recently released inspection reports from the town Health Department. The 14 inspections took place from July 5 to 16. Nine inspections resulted in “A” ratings (the best), three more resulted in “B” ratings, and one inspection report was for  a snack bar, and the Health Department doesn’t give out town ratings for those.
