We hope you can join us in celebrating the life of Margaret “Peg” Weeks who passed away on Feb. 10, 2021. The service will be held at St. Luke’s Church, 1864 Post Road, Darien, CT at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 26, in the sanctuary. The church requests that masks be worn inside.
Charles Samuel Macaluso of Darien and Kiawah Island, South Carolina died on Feb. 22 at the age of 77. Affectionately known to friends and family as Mac, Charles was a selfless man of generous spirit, intellectual curiosity and often, irreverent humor. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Macaluso. A graduate of Siena College and Rutgers University, he held masters degrees in English and public administration.
George Wulf Wetzell, 84, died peacefully on Feb. 9, 2021 surrounded by family. The son of the late Horace and Gerda Wetzell of Harrison, New York, George was born on Sept. 18, 1936 in Shanghai, where his father owned a U.S. trading company. His family then moved to Harrison in 1949.
Jennifer Austin James, 77, passed away on Jan. 15 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington after a brief illness. Born to Dorothy J. Muller of Darien and Francis W. James of Lexington, Massachusetts, Jennifer was a Connecticut native and spent her entire youth living in Darien. Known to her friends as “Jef,” she attended Darien public schools and then continued on to Marietta College in Ohio. In 1966 she married her high school sweetheart from Greenwich.
David McGill Marshman, 20-year resident of Venice, Florida, died in his sleep on Jan. 7. He was 69. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald McGill and Ann Lane Marshman of Darien, Connecticut. David was born on Feb.
