A Darien woman, 48, slapped another family member, who then took a phone and started to leave when she followed the person and knocked the phone out of the person’s hand, police said. Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

The victim told police that he or she had been slapped by the woman. When police arrived at the home, the victim said the woman had confronted the victim about concerns about their relationship, and the two argued. After the woman knocked the phone out of the victim’s hand, the victim retrieved it and called police. The woman told police there was an argument, but she denied that it ever became physical.

A 57-year-old Darien woman, apparently intoxicated, struck, then kicked a family member, causing that person to fall; the woman then threw a house phone and cell phone at the victim, police said. Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

Sometime before 12:28 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, the woman arrived at the home, intoxicated, and was told by the victim that she should leave the house, the victim told police. The woman then started striking, then kicking the victim, who fell and then decided to call police, the victim said. In response, the woman threw the phones at the victim.

Police were called to the home at 9:50 p.m. Here’s what the woman who was arrested said:

The woman told police that before she went away for the weekend, she had told a family member to clean up the home. When the woman returned on Monday. Aug. 6, she found the house hadn’t been cleaned up and, in fact, looked worse than when she had left.

A 36-year-old Darien man grabbed the mother of his three-year-old son while she was holding him and pushed her onto her back, while she continued holding the boy, police said. Apparently she was on her back on a sofa, because the police account, provided by the woman, said the child slipped off of her onto the sofa when the man and woman were in a scuffle. The man denied grabbing the woman while she held the boy, who wasn’t hurt in the incident, police said. The mother had marks on her arms, according to police, who gave this description of what happened Sunday night, July 29, including accusations not proven in court (unless otherwise noted, the description of the incident is from the woman’s account):

Sometime before 10:15 p.m., when the woman reported the incident to police and met them at Police Headquarters, the couple got into a dispute at their home on Hoyt Street. The woman said that during the argument, while she was holding the boy, the man made hand gestures close to her face, but didn’t touch her at that point.

Visitation Dispute Between Estranged Mother and Father Starts in Wilton, Ends Up in Lobby of Darien Police HQ

A 38-year-old Norwalk man was arrested in connection with a visitation dispute with the mother of his son that began in the driveway the woman’s home in Wilton and ended up in the lobby of Darien Police Headquarters, Darien police said. Darien police charged the man with disorderly conduct and reckless driving and gave him a misdemeanor summons in connection with the incident in the lobby, and Wilton police charged him with risk of injury to a minor (a felony), disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint in connection with the incident in Wilton. At 9:28 p.m., Thursday, police were called to a home in Darien. The victim told police there were ongoing conflicts with the woman, who had grabbed the victim’s arm in an attempt to take the victim’s phone and would not let go. The victim was able to get to the victim’s bedroom, but the woman followed and pushed the victim. The woman told police that there was an argument and that she grabbed the victim’s arm, trying to take the phone.

A woman at Driftwood Diner,  struck in the face by a man she was in a relationship with, ran down the Post Road late Wednesday night and at one point knocked on the window of a car and yelled for help, Darien police said. According to police, the 63-year-old Norwalk man who struck her denied that the confrontation was physical. Police charged him nevertheless. Police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

Police were called by the driver called them at 10:09 p.m. to tell them about the woman yelling for help. She had left on foot, going east on the Post Road.

Police: Darien Man Charged Twice in Two Days After Violent Incident at Home

After drinking a bottle of vodka, a 58-year-old Darien man repeatedly punched and pushed another person at home, before police were called at about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, police said. He was charged in that case and taken to Stamford hospital for observation, police said. A day later he was charged a second time after calling someone to get a ride home, although that person was connected to the first case and police had issued an order of protection forbidding him to contact that person. Since the matter is a domestic violence case, state law forbids police from describing the victim in any way. The arrested man’s address was also not released, and Darienite.com will not publish his name.
