Eggs thrown at windows sometimes break them, something recently experienced by residents at one house on Royle Road.

Darien police gave this account of the matter, based on what they were told by a resident who was home at the time:
At about 10:30 p.m., a woman was sitting in a side room of her house when she saw from a window that a small SUV was travelling east on the road, then stopped and backed up quickly in front of her house.
After a few minutes, she forgot about the car, but heard what she thought was a knocking noise. She thought it was her daughter returning home from a babysitting job.
But then she heard something break the front window of her living room. She looked outside and saw no vehicles, but there were several broken eggs and egg residue on the front of the house.
