Eggs thrown at windows sometimes break them, something recently experienced by residents at one house on Royle Road. (The street is located here; the pin does not indicate the incident’s exact location on the street.)

Darien police gave this account of the matter, based on what they were told by a resident who was home at the time:

At about 10:30 p.m., a woman was sitting in a side room of her house when she saw from a window that a small SUV was travelling east on the road, then stopped and backed up quickly in front of her house. After a few minutes, she forgot about the car, but heard what she thought was a knocking noise. She thought it was her daughter returning home from a babysitting job. But then she heard something break the front window of her living room.
