A Pembroke Road woman looked outside to see a woman with a package in her hands, and the woman thought the package was being delivered — as it was being stolen.
Here’s what police said about the theft:
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, a woman heard a vehicle pull into her driveway on Pembroke Road. When she looked outside, she saw a woman on her front porch holding an Amazon package.
The woman didn’t think anything was wrong because she assumed the package was being delivered. It was being delivered — into the thief’s car.
A few minutes later, the woman went outside to get the package, but it wasn’t there. She checked and found the carrier service reported that the package was delivered. It contained coffee and chewing gum, valued at $109.
