A woman who parked her unlocked scooter at the Noroton Heights Railroad Station on Saturday, July 11, found it stolen two hours later, police said.

The motorized bike, a red and white ZHNG-BMS 50 cc scooter, is valued at $2,000.

According to Darien police:

The woman, a 39-year-old Stamford resident, parked her vehicle on the south side of the station at 4:30 p.m. then returned to it two hours later. The police report didn’t explain why she parked there for that period of time.

When she did return, she found the scooter missing.

Darien police recently issued this statement with anti-theft advice for people who park their scooters in town.
