Susan will speak on the importance of hospitality in running a successful business, discuss the crucial link between happy employees and happy customers, and talk about how treating your customers like guests does more than make them feel good—it also improves the performance of your business.

The Louise Parker Berry Lecture series honors Darien Library’s longest-serving director, who led the Darien Library from 1979-2014, and created a culture of extreme customer service which brought the Library to national prominence.

The Board is proud to present one lecture each year, speaking on a topic that reinforces Louise’s belief that library patrons should expect incredible service on every visit, and that a successful library always finds a way to say yes.

“Nobody understands hospitality better than Union Square Hospitality Group and Hospitality Quotient, and we are so glad to have Susan Salgado sharing their unique path to success with our community at an event honoring Louise’s legacy,” said Alan Kirk Gray, Director.
