Josephine Antoinette Valente passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, at 93 years of age. Josephine was born March 2, 1928 in Stamford and was the oldest of three children, both of whom predeceased her (James and Angelo Casolo). She also was predeceased by her parents, Antoinette and Angelo Casolo, and her husband, Frank Anthony Valente. She had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to your face. She proved to be a strong willed, determined woman her entire life, raising her five children, but most especially when medical issues clouded and confused her mind.

Gillet Lefferts Jr. of Rowayton, formerly of Darien, passed away peacefully at home on March 30. He was 97 years old. Gil was born in Turtle Bay, New York on May 6, 1923, raised in New York City. He attended The Allen-Stevenson School and Deerfield Academy. A proud member of the Class of 1945, he graduated from Williams College in 1947 and earned his degree in architecture at Princeton University in 1950.
