The Darien Community Association is offering a “cheese and wine tasting luncheon” on Thursday, Nov. 1 with Ken Skovron of Darien Cheese and Fine Foods.
If you want to go, you’ll need to register and pay by noon on Tuesday.
— an announcement from the Darien Community Association
Skovron will lead you through a delectable selection of eight cheeses with a variety of textures and flavors, including recommendations for the holidays at the Darien Community Association. The event takes place from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Thursday.
Megan Ruppenstein of Four Forks prepares the perfect accompaniment: her delicious seasonal salad of arugula, figs, roasted delicata squash and toasted pecans, with an orange cinnamon vinaigrette.
A white and red wine tasting, as well as sparkling cider, completes the experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to sample new cheeses, enjoy Ken’s hand-picked wine pairings, ask questions and learn from a master! Wine will be supplied by Wineport of Darien.
This event is $75 per person, or $60 for DCA members. Prepayment is required by noon on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and can be made online, or by contacting the DCA at 203-655-9050 extension 10.
The DCA is located at 274 Middlesex Road in Darien.
