Expect lane closures from late morning to early afternoon on both the Merritt Parkway and Interstate 95 this coming week, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced.
The reason is bridge inspections and maintenance work, according to the department. Here’s where and when three different projects will take place in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan:
On the Merritt Parkway
Between Exits 35 and 37 in Stamford and New Canaan, from Monday through Wednesday, expect lane closures in northbound-traffic lanes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and in southbound-traffic lanes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Interstate 95
On Monday, between Exits 6 and 7 in Stamford, expect alternating left and right lane closures from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on the northbound-traffic side of the highway, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Tuesday, between Exits 5 and 6 in Greenwich, expect alternating left and right lane closures from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on the northbound-traffic side and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the southbound-traffic side.
