A watch valued at $11,084 was reported missing from a dresser drawer in a home on Midbrook Lane.

The victim and his family had been away for a weeklong trip recently while the home was for sale and potential buyers were shown through it, police were told.

The family was away from March 14 to 20, but the victim didn’t notice the watch was missing — along with a second watch of negligible value — until just before notifying police on Thursday, April 5.

There was no evidence of a burglary at the house. Both watches had been in the dresser drawer. Police said they continue to investigate the matter.
