The Depot Youth Center is inviting parents to a free workshop, “7 Ways to Support Your Student’s Study Practice,” presented by S4 Study Skills.
Here’s how a Depot announcement describes the workshop:
“During this powerful one-hour presentation, parents will learn how to they can support their child with seven tools and concrete ideas that can be implemented right away for better results and grades. […]
“Parents will learn the answer to these and other questions:
- What are the 7 skills all students need to be successful in school?
- How should they prepare for tests?
- How can your student eliminate distractions when they study?
- How can your student avoid feeling overwhelmed?
- Should your student study for a subject all in one shot, or over time?
- What can you do as a parent support your student?”
The program — which starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 — is free, but registration is requested. You can register here. It takes place at the Depot, 25 Heights Road.
