Sometime overnight between Sunday and Monday, Dec. 2 and 3, a store on the Post Road was burglarized after a rear door was forcibly entered — but the store owner reported only $40 missing from the cash register, police said.
Darien police gave this additional information about the incident:
The store is located at 846 Post Road, according to police. That address, however, doesn’t come up on Google searches, with 836 the address of Seasons Too and Grace Spa, 847 Post Road, across the street, the address of Post Corner Pizza and 848 the address of Darien Fire Department, next door to Seasons Too.
The owner of the store reported the incident to police at about 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 3. The owner said he left the store at 6:30 p.m. the night before.
Police searched the business for evidence, and as of Monday afternoon, Dec. 10 an investigation was still continuing.
