Walls will share the story of her childhood — a turbulent, free-spirited adventure punctuated by poverty and neglect — and how it shaped her life.

The second annual “Transforming Lives Luncheon” will be held on Oct. 26, a Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wee Burn Country Club, 410 Hollow Tree Ridge Road.

— This is an announcement from Person-to-Person.

At the event, P2P also will honor Patricia “Pat” C. Phillips with the inaugural “Transforming Lives Award.”

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support the various programs and services offered by Person-to-Person — from meeting the immediate need of people who come to the agency for assistance to supporting the educational aspirations of students from low-income families — to people living in Norwalk, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
