A woman, evidently keeping her eyes on the ball, didn’t see someone remove her $11,000 Rolex watch from inside the bag she left at the entrance to the tennis court at Weed Beech, she told police.
Here’s how police described what she told them about the incident on Saturday, Aug. 10:
The woman went to Police Department Headquarters on Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, several days later.
She’d been playing tennis from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m., and left the bag at the entrance to the court she was playing on.
When she arrived home, she discovered that the watch was no longer in her bag. She valued the watch at $11,000.
