Darien Library closes early, at 5 p.m. (It’s open regular hours on Saturday and Sunday, closed on Monday and Tuesday and reopens on Wednesday).
Metro-North schedule changes — “Early Christmas Getaway Service on Friday, Dec. 21. It features extra trains departing Grand Central beginning at 1 p.m. Some evening trains will be cancelled or combined because of reduced ridership later in the day.”
