We are contacting those affected, and any rescheduling information will be posted when it becomes available. Darien Police fingerprinting and child safety seat installation services: “[E]ffective immediately,” the department announced Wednesday, “the Darien Police Department has suspended its civilian fingerprinting (non-criminal) and child safety seat installation services due to the COVID-19 threat. We will resume these services as soon as possible and work with residents at that time by adding extra days/hours to clear any backlog as quickly as we can.”

The Depot Youth Center: “The Depot Youth Center will be closed effective March 12 to March 26, in response to COVID-19; the Depot, as always, follows the Darien District’s school closings schedule. Staff will be at the Depot taking care of daily administrative work. Please stay healthy!”

“This transmission electron microscope image shows SARS-CoV-2—also known as 2019-nCoV, the virus that causes COVID-19—isolated from a patient in the U.S. Virus particles are shown emerging from the surface of cells cultured in the lab. The spikes on the outer edge of the virus particles give coronaviruses their name, crown-like.” (Caption from Wikimedia Commons)
