Metro-North Increases Train Service as More Passengers Return: Here’s What’s Changed

Effective Monday, June 15, Metro-North Railroad has increased train service on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. The increase in service is due to a steady growth in ridership in response to the Phase 1 reopening in New York state. — an announcement from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority

The new schedule will provide a 115% increase in peak service from the May 27 schedule, with several trains added in the morning and afternoon peak periods. We will continue to provide hourly service during off-peak periods, on middays, evenings, late nights, weekends and holidays. COVID-19 Changes Darien Church Services: Some Livestreams, No Catholic Mass Obligation Next 3 Sundays

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, changes have been announced at St. Luke’s Parish and Noroton Presbyterian Church, which will each only have livestream, online church services, and at Darien’s two Catholic churches — and all of Fairfield County — the obligation to attend Mass has been suspended for Catholics for the upcoming three Sundays. Darienite.com found no announcements about changes in services or meetings on the websites of the Darien churches United Methodist Church, First Church of Christ Scientist or St. Paul’s Church in Darien.
