Darienite Jennifer St. Jean Racks up Race Awards

Jennifer St. Jean, who ran in high school and runs now as a mom in Darien, recently won two races — a world competition in France and the 5th Avenue Mile race in New York City. She won her age group race (40-49) at 5 minutes, 6 seconds in the 5th Avenue competition on Sept. 13, which placed her 21st out of 2,881 female runners in any age group in the race. In mid-August she competed at the World Masters Track & Field Championships in Lyon, France, where she won the silver medal for the women’s age 40-44 1500-meter race.
