Kristallnacht, or the “Night of Broken Glass,” took place in Germany 80 years ago and was the violent event during which Nazis broke the windows of Jewish businesses, schools and synagogues, resulting in death, arrests and the beginning stages of the Holocaust. The commemoration takes place at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield on Wednesday, Nov.
