Year-Long Project on Merritt Parkway in Greenwich to Close Lanes Sometimes on Weeknights, Weekends
|
For almost the next year, a stretch of the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich will have a new concrete barrier and construction vehicles entering and leaving at any time. There will be some lane closures overnight on the northbound-traffic side of the highway, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project isn’t scheduled to be completed until Nov. 27, 2018. The purpose of the project is to install a new drainage pipe under the Merritt to increase the flow capacity of Horseneck Brook to the Putnam Lake reservoir. The construction will take place between Interchanges 29 and 31.
