Patricia Young Barton, 79, passed away peacefully at home in Bonita Springs, Florida on Aug. 22, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Trisha handled a difficult cancer diagnosis with courage, positivity and faith. Born on Nov. 19, 1942 in East Saint Louis, Illinois, Trisha was the oldest child of the late Roland Young and Mary Ellis.

St. Julien Lachicotte McCall of the Mountain Lake community in Lake Wales, Florida and Pawleys Island, South Carolina, formerly of Cleveland and Darien, passed away peacefully in Florida on Aug. 17 with his three children by his bedside.He was 100. Born April 1, 1921 in Florence, South Carolina to Julia Lachicotte McCall, who lived 102 years, and Arthur May McCall, Julien graduated from Florence High School, Davidson College in 1942, and Harvard Business School in 1947 and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in 1983 from Davidson College. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, Ammunitions, in North Africa and Italy (Monte Cassino and Anzio) from 1942 to 1946.

Though fully vaccinated, he passed away following a courageous two-week battle with the COVID-19 virus at NCH Baker Hospital in Naples. John Charles Zimmermann of West Lebanon, New Hampshire passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born June 25, 1932, in Stamford, and enjoyed sailing, both racing and instructing in his youth on Long Island Sound. Jack was graduated from Dartmouth College and completed graduate courses at Johns Hopkins University. He served in the Navy for almost four years, attending Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, before being assigned as a communications officer on a destroyer in the Pacific. Jack gained promotion to lieutenant, completing his service as a small boat facilities master in Annapolis, Maryland, where he learned a great deal about making do and devising innovative solutions to challenging problems and processes.

Elizabeth Austin Tucker died suddenly on Aug. 4. She was 76. A native of Richmond, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Sloan Tucker Cann and Beverley Randolph Tucker Jr., and the step-daughter of John Pearce Cann, Jr.

Austin, a/k/a “Mom” and “Gigi,” cherished extended family on both her mother’s and father’s sides. She dreamed of travel to visit ancestral sites and to identify distant relations, especially in Scotland.

David Prescott Fuller, 77, of Simsbury, CT passed away at his home on Sunday, August 8th, 2021. Born in Savannah, Georgia to Prescott Chase and Jeanne (Burt) Fuller, David grew up in Darien. He lived his adult life in Simsbury where he owned and operated Prescott Building Services until retiring. David remained very active throughout his retirement spending countless hours building in his beloved wood shop. He spent his winters on Captiva Island and in Cape Coral, Florida.
