A 43-year-old Darien woman was arrested on a warrant on April 24 after she “became physical” with a police officer who arrived at her home in response to her report of a domestic incident, police said. The arrest was one of two made by Darien police in connection with unrelated domestic incidents

Darien police gave these accounts of what happened in each case, including accusations not proven in court:

The woman called police on Sept. 26 to report a verbal argument. Police didn’t say how that report concerned them enough to dispatch at least one officer to the scene (loud noises or concern about violence are two ways that can happen). When the officer arrived, the woman “became physical” with the officer.

A 46-year-old Westport man got into some kind of physical altercation in a domestic incident after refusing to leave the property of a Darien resident, police said. Darien police gave this account of the incident, including accusations not proven in court:

At 10:58 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, police were called to a home on Elm Street after a report of the altercaton on the lawn of the home. Officers spoke with the Westport man, who said he’d just been in the altercation. The man said he was invited to the residence by the victim. The victim told police that the man had been sending unwanted text messages and had been told not to contact the victim.

A 53-year-old Darien man got into an argument with another person while they were walking downtown, then pushed that person to the ground, police said. Darien police gave this additional account, including accusations not proven in court:

A witness saw the confrontation and intervened after seeing the victim on the ground, screaming for help. At 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, police were called to the area outside 1077 Post Road, where Scena Wine Bar is located. The victim didn’t report being injured, and police saw no indication of an injury.

Police who went to a home after they were called about a domestic incident involving a verbal dispute told that a man had pushed a person onto a couch. He was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Darien Police gave this account of what happened, including accusations not proven in court:

A call about a verbal dispute was made to police at 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18. When police arrived, a 51-year-old man said he had been involved in an argument with the other person.
