Police who went to a home after they were called about a domestic incident involving a verbal dispute told that a man had pushed a person onto a couch. He was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Darien Police gave this account of what happened, including accusations not proven in court:
A call about a verbal dispute was made to police at 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18. When police arrived, a 51-year-old man said he had been involved in an argument with the other person. When police spoke to the victim, they were told the dispute also involved the victim being pushed by the man.
The man, a resident of Country Club Road, was told to appear the next day in state Superior Court in Stamford.
