Some Darien High School students walked out of class Friday morning, joining a second nationwide walkout protest a bit over a month since the last one, on March 14, the Darien News reported.
This time, the walkout, starting at 10 a.m., was planned for the entire rest of the school day, a much smaller number of students participated, some students marched down Noroton Avenue toward the Noroton Heights Railroad Station to catch a train for a protest in New York City, and school administrators warned students that they would face disciplinary measures if they walked out, the newspaper reported.
