Take a free “Fly Fishing 101” class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in May and early June through June 18 at the Orvis store in Darien, right next to Trader Joe’s. (The April classes are already filled up.)
According to the Orvis website, the April dates listed here are now filled up, but as of April 15, the May classes are still available.
According to a sign (pictured here) in front of the store at 432 Post Road: “Perfect for Beginners! Learn fly casting and rigging.”
