The Department of Public Works (DPW) has released its annual Christmas tree pick-up schedule with an important reminder not to put wreaths out with trees.

Bows and other artificial decorations can easily be removed, but most wreaths are not compostable due to the copious amounts of wire used to hold them together.

Many are also flocked (sprayed with paint or glitter). It is therefore recommended that wreaths be disposed of with trash.

Here’s the schedule and other reminders about DPW pickups of Christmas trees by the street in front of your home.
