Have your storm windows down? Got the air conditioner out of the window? Have a potted plant you’ve been meaning to (finally) bring indoors? Now’s the time: It may freeze in the hours just before and after dawn in Darien and the region, the National Weather Service says.
The weather service has issued a “Freeze Warning” for an area including Connecticut, most of Long Island, the Hudson Valley and parts of northern New Jersey for 2 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday.

On the National Weather Service New York NY page on Facebook, the illustration just above is accompanied by this statement: “A Freeze Warning is in effect for tonight across most of the area. Low temperatures are expected to be even colder than last night (mid to upper 20s further inland/across LI Pine Barrens, upper 20s to lower 30s elsewhere).”
