Three vehicles parked outside one house on Midbrook Lane were entered sometime overnight from Monday to Tuesday, Jan. 7 to 8, and another two outside a second house on the same street were also entered. Not one of them was locked.
Three prescription medication bottles were missing from the center console of a 2013 Ford Explorer outside 14 Midbrook Lane, police said.
Also outside that house were a 2004 Lexus GX and a 2018 Mitsubishi Outback. The center console of the Lexus were found open, and the contents were strewn about inside the SUV.
The doors of the Mitsubishi were found ajar, but nothing apparently was missing or disturbed. That incident was reported to police the evening after, at 7:04 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Police then asked neighbors if they knew of anything suspicious the previous night. At 8 Midbrook Lane, a resident told police that two vehicles had been entered there — a 2012 Audi Q5 and a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban.
The center consoles of both SUVs had been emptied out, but nothing appeared to be missing.
“The complainant told officers he does not lock his vehicles,” police said in their announcement about the incidents.
