Parents and other adults are invited to a conversation and film screening of Escalation, a film that highlights the earliest warning signs of relationship violence. The YWCA Greenwich, in partnership with the One Love Foundation, is presenting the film.
According to a release from the YWCA, the statistics are staggering: 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will be in a violent relationship in their lifetime.
Nearly 50 percent of these women and 40 percent of these men experience relationship violence for the first time between ages 18 and 24.

Young women ages 16 to 24 are at a three times greater risk for abuse.
Escalation has been shown in over 500 high schools and colleges.
The film and conversation are set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, with the film beginning at 7 p.m. at the YWCA Greenwich, 259 East Putnam Ave.
The event is free and open to all. Please RSVP by Monday, Feb 27 by emailing rsvp@ywcagreenwich.org.
