The Darien Youth Commission is pleased to announce plans for its Family Concert series at Weed Beach. Taking place on four Wednesdays in June, these events are meant to be fun for the whole family.

Whether you pack a picnic dinner or buy dinner at “Uncle’s By the Shore,” grab a blanket, the beach chairs and come enjoy the evening at the beach.
Show time is 6:30 p.m. for all concerts. The cost (per concert) is $4 per person or $10 per family.
(Beach stickers are not required to attend these events; glass containers are not permitted on the beach.)
Here’s the schedule of performances:
—June 5 – DHS Jazz Band (special appearance by Darien Community Band @ 7:15 p.m.)–
—June 12 – Annie & the Natural Wonder Band
—June 19 – Tom Weber
—June 26 – Les Julian
On the June 26, the concert will be preceded by our annual Sand Castle Building Contest! The contest is free and begins at 4 p.m.
- On Friday, June 28 the Youth Commission and the Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring their annual movie at the beach! (Film to be announced.).
- Showtime is dusk (at about 8:30 p.m.). This event is free; beach stickers are not required to attend this event.
