Teaching children that they are in charge of their own body, and that it is okay to speak up when a person or situation makes them uncomfortable, is a powerful message that influences self esteem and relationship dynamics (interpersonal interactions) throughout their lives.

“Consent Through the Ages” provides parents with an overview of these important topics and teaches them how to teach and model consent with their children.

About the Facilitator

Rosie Enyart is the Lead Crisis Counselor and Advocate for The Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education. She provides individual crisis counseling, facilitates support groups, and participates on Multi-disciplinary teams that respond to disclosures of child sexual assault.

Prior to joining the team at The Center, Rosie was a project consultant for UCONN’s Center for Applied Research in Human Development and Family Studies to embed Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) in participating 21st Century Community Learning Programs in Connecticut. Rosie holds a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She lives in Stamford, Connecticut.
