Atrial fibrillations, their incidence in the senior population and the various treatment options will be the subject of a talk by a physician expert on the subject on Wednesday morning.

The speaker, Sandhya Dhrovakumar, M.D., is director of electrophysiology at Stamford Hospital and is fellowship trained in electrophysiology with expertise in device implantation and cardiac ablations.
Dr. Dhruvakumar received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry with honors from Brown University and her M.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical College.
She completed her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center. Her cardiology fellowship was completed at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and her electrophysiology fellowship at University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
Immediately following Dr. Dhruvakumar’s presentation on atrial fibrillations Post 53 will conduct a CPR training session in the DCA common room.
