Darien Public Schools, Darien Nature Center, Pear Tree Point School and Holly Pond School will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 23, for Yom Kippur, but Darien YMCA has a Vacation Camp day for kids up to 5th Grade (register now).

Darien YMCA conducts a Vacation Camp on days that Darien schools are closed. Here’s more information about it from the Darien Y’s Facebook page:
“Looking for something to do on Wednesday’s school holiday? Bring your 3 year old through 5th Grader to the Y’s Vacation Camp! Details can be found on our website. Please note you will have to come into the Y’s front desk to register.”

Please Note: Registration for the September Vacation Camps will begin on Tuesday, September 8th due to the YMCA upgrade to our on-line registration system. Please contact Suzanne Richards at srichards@darien-ymca.org if you’d like to reserve a spot today.
Vacation camp is available for 3 year olds through 5th graders. All participants must have a medical form on file.
Hours:
9am—1 pm: 1/2 day Pre-school Only
9 am—4 pm: Full day Pre-school through 5th Grade
8 am—9am and/or 4 pm—6 pm: Extended Care

Vacation Camp Refund Policy
A participant canceling prior to the Vacation Camp Day will receive a full on-line credit*, or a refund less 30% charge in the manner in which they paid.
A participant canceling on the day of Vacation Camp will receive On-line credit only less a 30% charge.
If canceling due to medical reasons, you will receive a full on-line credit. Written verification by a physician is required.
