Don’t toss away that wine-bottle cork, please.
The Darien Nature Center would like you to donate it to the organization.
Along with 99,999 others.
Here’s an announcement from the Nature Center on Facebook:
The Darien Nature Center is collecting corks. If we collect 100,000 corks we can get $500 to put towards our animal care. The corks need to be whole (not broken) and real cork (not plastic).
So drink up, everyone and drop off your corks!
Reduce, reuse and recycle(in that order!)

Editor’s note: That works out to 2 cents a cork and a bit less than five corks per Darien resident, although those under 21 are not being asked to contribute to the cause.
