Presentation for Parents on Teaching Children They’re in Charge of Their Own Bodies
January 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Parents play a vital role in the creation of physical and emotional boundaries for children — boundaries which follow them into their adult lives.
— an announcement from Darien Library
Teaching children that they are in charge of their own body, and that it is okay to speak up when a person or situation makes them uncomfortable, is a powerful message that influences self esteem and relationship dynamics (interpersonal interactions) throughout their lives.

“Consent Through the Ages” provides parents with an overview of these important topics and teaches them how to teach and model consent with their children.
