60 Minutes Executive Producer to Speak at New Covenant Center Fundraiser

Jeff Fager, the executive producer of CBS 60 Minutes is the keynote speaker for New Covenant Center’s 14th Annual Celebrity Breakfast at the Woodway Country Club in Darien on Wednesday April 4.
The annual fundraising event takes place from 7 to 9 a.m. and features not only Fager, but this year’s recipient of the Founder’s Award: Randy Salvatore, CEO of RMS Companies.
All proceeds from Celebrity Breakfast will benefit New Covenant Center, whose mission is to provide basic living items and services combined with longer-term solutions that focus on self- sufficiency to those in need.
New Covenant Center is celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary of the original soup kitchen which has since grown to a comprehensive center offering a job skills program, life coaching and human services.
New Covenant Center serves hot meals twice a day, 365 days a year, providing 700,000 meals a year, including a breakfast program. The facility includes an efficient and modern kitchen, a welcoming dining area, expanded food storage and refrigeration, and a spacious food pantry.
Jeff Fager begins his 14th season as Executive Producer of 60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history now in its 50th season. 60 Minutes is the winner of 145 Emmy Awards, offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news. Fager’s 35 years at CBS News include experience at every stage of the electronic news business, including 21 years at the executive producer level.
Randy Salvatore is the founder and CEO of the Stamford based RMS Companies, a full service real estate, construction and development firm headquartered in Stamford.
Salvatore is a strong believer in getting involved and giving back to the communities in which he works and lives. RMS Construction was the general contractor overseeing the buildout of the new facility of New Covenant Center.
