Auction items include a party in the DAC Weatherstone Studio complete with use of the state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment – perfect for an Oscar, Tony or Superbowl event; 2 hours of singer/songwriter Doug Allen performing at an in-home party, and a dance or ‘painting and pinot’ party at the DAC. Jane Pelley will act as auctioneer. Lead corporate sponsor of the event is Darien Rowayton Bank.

Proceeds from A Midsummer Night’s Celebration will benefit the DAC, which relies solely on donations, ticket sales, tuitions and grants for funding. Over 6,000 individuals participate in programs and attend performances at the DAC annually, with over 1000 students from toddlers to seniors taking classes in dance, visual arts, music, theatre, and martial arts.

Over 20 students with disabilities attend Artabilities and Danceabilities classes, and the Ginny Wright scholarship provides Darien High School art students support for future artistic education in college. The financial support of the community is vital for the DAC to continue to provide dynamic visual and performing arts programming.

Tickets for A Midsummer Night’s Celebration are $125 and can be purchased online at darienarts.org or by calling (203) 655-8683. Tickets are limited.
