A vehicle drove on the field next to Hindley School, leaving tire tracks and hitting a light post, causing it to lean over.
The incident happened sometime before 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, when the police officer arrived.
White transfer paint was left on the post, and plastic car pieces (including one with a Volvo stamp) were on the ground nearby.
