You can take these classes in bridge at the Darien Community Association, or participate in a drop-in (no registration necessary) open game of duplicate bridge:
Duplicate Bridge Open Game
Tom Hunter of Come Play Bridge will return as our duplicate bridge director. Our Monday game is a drop-in play, $13 open game, without a DCA membership requirement, to help players obtain more master points.
Tom will be using hands from The Common Game, so hand records will be available. Games will be stratified, and Tom will also be available both before and after the game for questions and discussion.
This challenging game is held in the Garden Wing every Monday, starting from Sept. 10, at 12:30 p.m. from September until May.

Introduction to Bridge Class
This is an introductory class. No former knowledge of the game is required – come and learn the basics of this amazing game! The instructor will be Joan Bergen.
- INTRODUCTION TO BRIDGE CLASS will be held on five Tuesdays: September 25, October 2, 16, 23 and 30 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the DCA. Class fee: DCA members $150/ public $175. Prepayment is required by noon on Monday, Sept. 24.
Intro to 2 Over 1 Bridge Class
In this class, instructor Meredith Dunne will teach this Intro to 2 Over 1 class using Audrey Grant methods. Prior bridge experience is required and is for the advanced beginner to intermediate students only.
- INTRO TO 2 OVER 1 BRIDGE CLASS will be held on six Tuesdays: Sept. 25, Oct. 2, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the DCA. Class fee: DCA members $180/ public $210. Prepayment is required by 12 noon, Friday, Sept. 21.
Bridge 3 Class
This Bridge 3 class will pick up where Bridge 2 left off starting with a review of basics. The new topics will include Stayman and Jacoby Transfers after NT openings. Also covered will be basic defense and play of the hand. The instructor will be Meredith Dunne.
- BRIDGE 3 CLASS will be held on six Wednesdays: Sept. 26, Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31 and Nov. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the DCA. Class fee: DCA members $180/ public $210. Prepayment is required by noon on Friday, September 21.
