Woman Forgets Purse After Loading Car With Groceries, It Was Gone 2 Minutes Later

It didn’t take long for a thief to walk away with the purse that a woman left in a shopping cart after she drove off with her groceries. According to Darien police, the woman said she returned to the parking lot at Goodwives Shopping Center, 25 Old Kings Hwy. North in about two minutes. The shopping cart was still there, but the purse was gone. Inside it were bank cards, cash (police didn’t say how much) and her identification.
