Fundraiser for Ukraine Features Performances, Crafts, Pierogi and Activities for Children

On Saturday, April 23, Housatonic Community College (HCC) will host a fundraiser for Ukraine featuring a craft fair, art auction and culturally immersive event. — an announcement from Housatonic Community College
The fundraiser, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will feature live performances, craft sales, pierogi sales and activities for children. All activities will take place in the HCC campus courtyard at 900 Lafayette Blvd., Bridgeport, off of Interstate 95 Exit 27. A $2 donation is encouraged and all proceeds will go to help the people of Ukraine. Free parking is available and the community is encouraged to attend.

New Canaan Chamber Music Dedicates 4 PM, Sunday Concert to Ukraine

New Canaan Chamber Music will perform a concert, “Music of Love, Friendship and Epic Struggle,”  at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 24, dedicated to the people of Ukraine. The event takes place at the First Presbyterian Church, 178 Oenoke Ridge Road in New Canaan. Andrew Armstrong willb e joined by Solomiya Ivakhiv, a Ukrainian-born violinist, and Alice Yoo on cello. Tickets, starting at $50 for adults and $10 for children, are available online, here. “In recognition of the needs of the Ukrainian people, New Canaan Chamber Music board members and supporters are contributing to Americares’ Ukraine Crisis Fund,” the organization said on the home page of its website.
