Poet Sydney Lea to Read at Darien Library on April 3

Join us in the Conference Room Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. celebrating the poet’s voice! Here in Connecticut, we live in the midst of poetic history. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allan Poe, and Robert Frost are among many poets who called New England home, inspired by the history and beauty of this land. Today, poets still look out their windows and see the hills of Connecticut, pine trees of Maine, pumpkins of New Hampshire, homes along the Breakers of Rhode Island, red bogs of Massachusetts cranberries…and for Sydney Lea, the Green Mountains of Vermont. Darien Library is pleased to present our 2016 Poet’s Voice reading, featuring poet Sydney Lea, on Sunday, April 3.
