Darien’s 2018 Memorial Day parade steps off at 10 a.m. sharp on Monday, May 28 from Goodwives Shopping Center, turns right and travels on Old Kings Highway South to Brookside Road and then turns left onto the Post Road until it reaches the veterans cemetery at Spring Grove Cemetery. Beginning Thursday, look for busy roadways in New England when 91 percent of the region’s estimated two million travelers drive 50 miles or more this Memorial Day, says AAA Northeast. Meanwhile, Metro-North has changed its Friday schedule to make it easier for riders to leave the city between 1 and 4 p.m.
