When a Darien police officer found that a 2013 Chevrolet Impala on Interstate 95 was owned by a man with a suspended driver’s license who was wanted by Westport police, the officer had the car pull over and arrested the owner, police said. Darien police have license plate readers that can automatically alert officers when the devices spot a license plate under suspension. Police officers on patrol sometimes use I-95 to get to another part of town (or to go elsewhere). The traffic stop was made at about 2:39 a.m. on Thursday, June 22. The driver admitted to the officer that there was a little marijuana in the vehicle, police said.
