Darien police say they received a number of complaints from neighbors about yelling and screaming coming from a home on Lynn Court on Saturday, and after police looked into it, they charged three people with disorderly conduct, one with assault.

Police described the incident with this account (including accusations not proven in court):

At 12:26 a.m., police responded to the complaints. When a man answered the door, police could hear yelling from inside the house. When police spoke with three adults in the house, they were told an argument had escalated between the women into a shoving match and the throwing of a laundry basket back and forth. When a man tried to stop the fighting, he punched one of the women in the arm several times when, instead of making peace, he got angry himself. No one was seriously injured, although police saw red marks on at least one of the women.
